Who we are

Evelyn Hernandez and Emil Perren together with our daughter Andrea.

Evelyn was born in Cuba and I grew up in Zermatt. We are happily married and live together with Andrea in Zermatt.

Since 2016 we have been renting out various beautiful vacation apartments in Havana, in the Vedado district.

After renting out apartments in Zermatt to permanent tenants for a long time, we have now decided to offer them to vacation guests as well. We guarantee you all the comforts and a perfect home for your next vacation.

We want you to feel at home in our apartments. For this reason, we are happy to help you with any questions and concerns during your stay. We are always there for you!

The Matterhorn Terminal Täsch is the hub for motorists. The cars have to be parked in Täsch, here you change to the shuttle and travel comfortably by train to Zermatt. Alternative for the journey to Zermatt: Taxi service from Täsch.

Here are five fantastic hiking options around Zermatt, designed to help you explore the stunning landscapes and charming hamlets!

  1. Hike: Haus Vira – Moos – Blatten – Zum See – Furi – Schweigmatten – Haus Vira

This route takes you through picturesque hamlets and offers beautiful views, perfect for a leisurely half-day adventure.

  • Starting Point: Haus Vira (Winkelmatten, Zermatt)
  • Route: Start at Haus Vira and head towards Moos, continuing on to the traditional hamlet of Blatten. From Blatten, the path leads to the idyllic Zum See. Your journey then takes you to Furi, an important hub with a convenient cable car connection. From Furi, simply follow the path via Schweigmatten back towards Winkelmatten and Haus Vira.
  • Highlights: Discover authentic Valais houses in Blatten and Zum See, offering a glimpse into the region’s heritage.

After soaking in Zmutt’s unique atmosphere, hike back down to Zermatt and then continue to Haus Vira.

  • Estimated Duration: 2-3 hours (one-way to Ried), plus time to enjoy your meal.
